Brennan enjoys a multi-faceted career as an educator, performer, and recording artist. He recently earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts and Master of Music at University of Maryland, where he studied with Distinguished Professor Chris Gekker. Brennan also holds a Bachelor of Music from Susquehanna University, where he studied with Dr. Eric Hinton.

Brennan recently relocated to the Chicago area from Washington, DC, where he spent 6 years freelancing and teaching his private studio. Brennan is particularly passionate about new music for the trumpet, finding ways to bridge our application of pedagogy between 20th and 21st Century music. This can be heard on his recording, American Trumpet Sonatas of the 21st Century, which will be released by Centaur Records and features new music by composers Eric Ewazen, Nicole Piunno, Marcus Grant, and Carson Cooman. You can listen to these recordings under the "Recordings" tab of this website.
